Join your local American Cancer Society representative for an Open House event this Monday, May 24. Community Relationship Manager Taryn Somers will be at the Orcas Island Public Library from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. with great information about the countywide events happening this summer. Stop by anytime to pick up resources, enjoy some refreshments, and talk with others who are involved locally in the fight against cancer.

This summer, Orcas Island is hosting a county-wide Bark For Life event on July 17. This is an opportunity to come together as a pet-friendly community, and recognize our pups and other animals as caregivers, companions, cancer patients and survivors, and as special members of our families. The following weekend, the county-wide Relay For Life event takes place at Friday Harbor High School on July 24-25. A charter boat service has been made available to bring participants from Orcas Island to Friday Harbor for the Relay! For more information, please visit:
