Anacortes ferry parking free on July 4 weekend

Washington State Ferries will offer free parking at the Anacortes terminal July 3-7. The Sealth will be in service which accommodates 50 less cars per sailing than usual, according to Deborah Hopkins, Executive Director of the San Juan Islands Visitors Bureau. She noted, “This came about thanks to our Ferry Advisory Committee.”

Lopez Island Chamber of Commerce will offer free shuttle service from the ferry to Lopez Village and the south end of the island during these dates. Orcas and San Juan Islands have shuttle service that operates seasonally, with reasonable rates.

Limited parking space will be available.

Parking payment is required for all vehicles located in the Anacortes ferry terminal before July 3 and as of July 8.

There will be three ways to make payment:

1. If parking vehicle before free period and leaving during the free period, purchase enough parking to park until July 3. Depart no later than July 8.

2. If parking vehicle during the free period and staying after free period ends, purchase extra days starting as of July 8. (The machine is adjusted to begin July 8).

3. If Parking period overlaps free period, purchase the total number of days parking counting the free period. For a refund, keep a copy and send receipt with explanation to: Diamond Parking Services, 4719 University Way NE, Suite 203, Seattle, WA 98105.
