Art Unlocked — Pandemic Productions

by the Visual Arts Committee at Orcas Center

The Visual Arts Committee is excited to be planning the first visual arts exhibition at the Orcas Center in almost two years!

We anticipate that the creative juices of our island artists have continued to flow throughout these long and crazy months of the pandemic.

The upcoming show will be a retrospective of our creations during these last two years. We will cover the walls of the lobby and the Madrona Room with the beautiful and inspirational work that has been created by you, our wonderful Orcas Artists, during these last two years!

We welcome all forms of art, two-dimensional, three-dimensional, fabric art, ceramics, metal, etc. It can be for sale or not. All art must be ready for display — wall art needs to have a hanging wire securely fastened on the back.

We are planning to have this and future shows this year hang for two months, so this first show will be hung on Jan. 26 and will remain up through February and March, to be taken down on March 23.

Please bring your art, “ready to display” with hanging wires on wall art and stands for the display of your three-dimensional pieces if you have them. We do have a number of pedestal displays available here at the center. Please choose one or two pieces to bring for us to choose from.

If you are interested in having your work displayed on the Orcas Center website, please take a clear digital image of each piece with your phone. When you come in, we will let you know how to become part of the digital display of our “Art Unlocked” 2022 show.
