The Cancer Support Group is for anyone who has cancer, is a cancer survivor, or is a caretaker for someone with cancer.

It is a monthly, no cost, confidential support group to give hope, encouragement, information, and inspiration to those experiencing the difficult journey of cancer. The next meeting is on Thursday, July 8, 7 p.m. at the Orcas Island Community Church Library.

The organizers of the group are Carol and Bogdan Kulminski from the Lighthouse Christian Center, who were facilitators for a group in San Diego, and Sue Foulk from the Orcas Island Community Church, who is a cancer survivor.

It is open to the community and will meet the second Thursday of each month. Call 376-4198 for more information.
