“If you’ve had the pleasure of dining at the Doe Bay Cafe, you know first-hand how great the food is. And that’s largely because of their unbeatable chef, Abigael Birrell,” say Farm to Cafeteria organizers.
On March 30, Birrell brought her expertise to the public school cafeteria where build-your-own burritos with a choice of chicken or beans and rice filling, “spicy” salad, and raspberry blueberry crisp were devoured by 300 kids, teachers and parents.
On April 22, The Orcas Landing Hotel will be cooking up soup that will be served with deli sandwiches and Marionberry ice cream made by Enzo’s.
In May, John Steward of Maple Rock Farm returns to treat everyone with his pizza.
