I understand that some readers of our recent article have drawn the conclusion that the purchase of Mount Baker Farm has already happened, or is definitely going to happen. This is not true.

We do not have a contract for the purchase of the Farm. We have no guarantee. All we have is an equal chance to purchase the property, when and if it goes back on the market and if we are able to raise the funds needed.

The intent of our article was to make it clear that we need everyone’s help and support to make this project a reality.

We will continue to pursue our plans to create this critical programming here on Orcas Island, at Mount Baker Farm if possible, or at another appropriate location.

Please join us in creating this opportunity for a positive project that will serve young adults on the autism spectrum, and others, and open the door to many collaborative possibilities for our community.
