Last community

dinner of the season

On Tuesday, March 10, the last community dinner for 2009 will be held at Orcas Christian School from 5 to 8 p.m.

Heather Thomas, Bilbo’s chef, will be preparing a free all-you-can eat Mexican feast. On the menu are cheese enchiladas, black bean casserole, refried beans, Spanish rice, burritos, Mexican slaw, green salad, chips and salsa, ice cream and biscotti.

“Fellowshipping with friends you haven’t seen for awhile and making new friends is so much fun. It’s the happiest place to be for dinner,” said Marylou Cobb, a long-time resident of Orcas.

The gym will be open for the children from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Afterschool Spanish to continue

Anna Roseberry’s Afterschool Spanish will be holding sessions in March, April and May.

To work with students increasing commitments, the sessions will be held once a week. Grades 1 to 3 will meet on Mondays from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. and the cost will be $25. Grades 4 to 6 will meet on Wednesdays from 1:05 to 2:30 p.m. and the pay $38.
