Managing Director of Olympus Real Estate Partners, Laurie Cameron, responded in an interview to several rumors making the rounds about the pending Rosario auction on Sept. 30.
As announced last month, Rosario Resort will be auctioned on Sept. 30, at an island location to be determined. Cameron said that 350 parties have expressed an interest in bidding at the auction, and that 75 parties have signed confidentiality agreements.
“I don’t think the auction is going to get postponed,” she said.
She also dismissed rumors about Rosario’s pending bankruptcy. “We wouldn’t have gone this far in the process for the last seven years if we were going to file for bankruptcy. Olympus has deep pockets, and the “b” word has never been in our vocabulary.”
Olympus has scheduled three dates for interested parties to tour the property. About six qualified agents were at the first tour, and about 20 are expected at the tour on Sept. 18. Several private tours have also been conducted.
A $250,000 non-refundable deposit is required of the winning bidder at the Sept. 30 auction, which is being conducted by Tranzon auctioneers. Their website is www.tranzon.com.
