• County crews will be reclaiming a 2000-foot section of Crow Valley Road north of the intersection with West Beach Road (where Island Hardware is located). Work to be done includes overhead tree trimming, grinding of the existing pavement, addition of top course aggregate, and a new chip seal surface. Work will begin in mid-August and be completed by September 1st. Expect delays on Crow Valley Road between Orcas Road and West Beach Road. Alternate routes to the area include Orcas Road to Nordstrom Lane, and Enchanted Forest Road to West Beach Road. Traffic from the West Sound and Deer Harbor areas traveling to Eastsound should consider using Orcas Road.

• County crews will be installing a storm drain along Tower Drive and Washburn Place in Lopez Village beginning mid-August, with completion slated for late September. The project is expected to have a minimal effect on traffic flow in the village.
