The deadline for all dog owners to purchase 2009 dog licenses is Tuesday, March 31. The license fee for spayed or neutered dogs is $12 and for intact animals $30.
After March 31, a $10 late fee will be added to the purchase of a license. They may be purchased at the Orcas Animal Shelter daily from 2 to 5 p.m., Eastsound Kennels and Orcas Veterinary Services. Volunteers from the Orcas Animal Protection Society will sell dog licenses at Island Market on Saturday, March 28 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
