From Feb. 22 to April 4, Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services of the San Juans will be hosting a parenting and family relationships class entitled “Restorative Parenting.”

Come join their in-house therapist and community advocate on an experimental class covering topics such as boundaries, conflict management, communication, healthy relationships, and mirroring healthy emotions.

Meeting every Monday from 6 to 8 p.m., this group will combine skill-building interpersonal exercises, expressive art, and somatic movement practices. Discussions and support around tensions/blocks that can arise in a parent-child/teen relationship or between couples themselves will also be addressed in a safe group environment.

Come as you are, bring a friend, partner, or older child (18+ please), and dress in comfy clothes. Snacks and drinks shall be provided. Unfortunately, due to the size of our space, childcare cannot be provided.

All genders and sexual orientation welcome. Attendance is free, but space is limited, so to sign up or for more information, call DVSAS at 376-5979 or email eve@dvsassanjuans.org.
