The Orcas Island Garden Club will meet on Oct. 21 at 10 a.m. in the Madrona Room of the Orcas Center. Following a brief business meeting Roger Ragusa, the retail manager of Wells Nursery in Mt. Vernon, will present a program on fall planting. He will also bring some of his plants for sale.

Ragusa has been at Wells for the last 10 years and has been active in the Mt. Vernon community especially in theater. He received his undergraduate degree from San Francisco State University and began his nursery career in the San Francisco Bay Area. Ragusa has worked as a propagator as well as a nursery manager.
