At 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Egg Lake Road and Three Meadows Road for a report of a vehicle-versus-tree collision. Upon arrival, the driver, Mike Kramer of Friday Harbor, was found deceased. He was 41 years old at the time of his death.

It is unclear the exact cause of the crash, and an investigation is underway. The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle. It is believed that speed played a major role in the incident.
