High Wind Warning in effect

The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a High Wind Warning, which is in effect from 10 p.m. this evening to 7 p.m. on Wednesday for San Juan County.

A High Wind Warning means that a hazardous wind event is imminent or occurring.

Winds are predicted to increase after midnight tonight. The strongest winds will likely be during the early morning hours

and again in the afternoon.

Wind is expected to be 30 to 40 miles per hour with gusts to 60 miles per hour. Winds this strong can topple trees, down power lines and damage some structures.
