San Juan County Sheriff’s Department reported responding to these calls:

June 6: Hydraulic fluid was used by someone who drew several names and words referring to male genitalia in an apparent case of vandalism on Orcas Island’s Deer Harbor Road. The oil-laden words were written in the 5700 block of Deer Harbor Road.

A tip jar disappeared from the galley of one of the state ferries in an apparent case of theft. The tip jar reportedly contained $3-$5 in change when it vanished from the galley of the Hyak.
