Most people have had pizza, but few have had the pleasure of having John Steward’s pizza.

Now, the almost 300 students, parents and teachers who had lunch in the public school cafeteria on May 27 can include themselves among those few. Freshly made dough topped with organic veggies and sauces straight from Steward’s Maple Rock Farm are second to none, say organizers.

Steward was the last “Celebrity Chef” to treat the kids to a true Farm to Cafeteria lunch for this school year. Next year, new as well as familiar chefs will make appearances, starting in September: Christina Orchid, Charles Dalton of The Kitchen, Anne Garfield of Roses, Lisa Nakamura of Allium, Mia Kartiganer of Mia’s and Madden Surbaugh of the Quilted Pig at Rosario Resort.
