The following was submitted by the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office.
On Oct. 9 at 7:45 p.m., Sheriff’s deputies made a traffic stop on Mt. Baker Road for Orcas resident Justin Langworthy. He was a suspect in a reported drug deal the day before. Langworthy has multiple felony drug warrants out of California as well as a suspended driver’s license. He was placed under arrest for the warrants and DWLS. Langworthy was searched and found to be in possession of illegal narcotics. He was taken into custody and transported to San Juan Island, where he is being held on his warrants and pending drug charges. A search warrant was signed by Judge Don Eaton for Langworthy’s car. Upon execution of the warrant, large quantities of methamphetamines, heroin, scales, packaging items and a large amount of cash were recovered from the car. Langworthy is being held pending a hearing in San Juan County Superior Court.
