Muriel D. Gallo-Chasanoff of Eastsound has received a fellowship from the 2009 Fund for Theological Education. She is currently a senior at Grinnell College and is a religious studies major.

The undergraduate fellowships, which are funded by Lilly Endowment, Inc., recognize students who have gifts for leadership and are exploring the possibility of ministry as a vocation.

Gallo-Chasanoff expects to attend seminary on the West Coast and take part in service ministry.
