Logan Luft to boost recycling

Orcas High School graduate Logan Luft has returned to the San Juan Islands to help San Juan Sanitation, which is co-owned by his father Tom Luft, increase the company’s recylcing programs. Logan, who graduated from Central Washington University, will be working with businesses throughout the County performing “waste audits” to determine ways for them to save money and the environment by recycling more thoroughly. He will first focus on Lopez Island where he hopes to place green, co-mingled recycling dumpsters at businesses to allow for convenient recycling.
