LWV council candidate forums announced

Submitted by the League of Women Voters of the San Juans

The League of Women Voters of the San Juans, a non-partisan, non-profit organization, is sponsoring a Voter Forum at the Grange Hall at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, July 16. The Forum is designed to help voters get to know the District 1 (San Juan Island) candidates for County Council. The primary election is on Aug. 6, and the San Juan County Elections Office will be mailing ballots to registered voters on July 16.

The Voter Forum is a moderated event during which candidates will present introductory statements and respond to your questions, within time limits. Candidates confirmed to attend and respond to your questions are Adrian Kilpatrick, Kari McVeigh, and Stephanie O’Day (County Council District 1). The League of Women Voters requires civil discourse in forums, and all questions to candidates must meet that requirement.

The meeting will also be available via Zoom. Those who can’t join us in person at the Grange can join the Zoom Meeting at:
