Mask mandate lifted but will continue to be required in some businesses

Submitted by the San Juan County Economic Council

The statewide indoor mask mandate was rescinded on March 11, at 11:59 p.m., in many settings. The local Health Officer face-covering order is also being rescinded at the same time.

L&I is updating its mask requirements for businesses as well. Per the L&I website (https://sanjuansedc.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e47fce471fcfcd4bd9e83df0f&id=5b4f82f2e8&e=6509fc963d ), as of March 12, masks will no longer be required in many settings.

Masks will continue to be required in health care settings, long-term care, and correctional facilities. In addition, as noted on the L&I website some businesses and organizations may still require masks in their facilities.
