Music, treasure hunts, and crafts at Children’s Festival

Craft tents, sandbox treasure hunts, a cake walk and a bouncy house are some of the fun planned for the Orcas Island Children’s Festival on Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Salmonberry School and Children’s House on North Beach Road.

Live music, story time, a silent auction of goods and services donated by pre-school families and family oriented information booths will be spread throughout the grounds. Food will be available at “Dads’Diner.”

The collaborative effort between Children’s House, Kaleidoscope, Orcas Montessori School and Salmonberry School raises money to fund early childhood school programs scholarships.

Admission is $5 per person and includes five tickets for games and activities. Additional tickets will be $1 each.
