Sunset Road in Eastsound was closed Sunday, July 29 at 9 a.m. for a residential oil heater fire.

Orcas Fire and Rescue crews were able to contain the blaze in the garage, where the hot water heater was located. The house did not catch fire, and responders were also able to save a car in the garage. A total of five engines responded.

The road has been reopened.
