Orcas man arrested for assault, harassment and stalking

Submitted by the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office

On Sept. 1, around 12:10 p.m., the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office received a call of an Orcas woman alleging she was actively being stalked by an ex-boyfriend who pulled a gun on her. Multiple Deputies responded to the call and a drone was deployed to search for the suspect. After an exhausted investigation and search for the suspect, the suspect was located and arrested without incident.

Kirby G. Siek was arrested on charges of Assault 2nd Degree DV (Felony), Harassment DV (Felony), and Stalking DV (Felony) and booked into the San Juan County holding facility. The first appearance hearing is Tuesday Sept. 3 at 3 p.m. and the court will determine if bail will be imposed.

Kudos to Deputies Ron Krebs, Isaac Norton, Sam Fowler, and Sergeant Bryce Peterson for their diligence in working this case for seven hours culminating in the arrest of this suspect and protecting the safety of the victim in this case.
