The Orcas Senior Advisory Committee is launching a new project to help maintain the level of services it now provides to seniors: a coupon book.

It will be comprised of Orcas Island businesses, and will represent savings for the community as well as tourists.

Businesses will be contacted for participation beginning January 25 for inclusion in the June 1, 2010 publication.

This project was successfully introduced on San Juan Island in 2009, with a second edition being produced now.
