In memoriam of the victims who lost their lives in the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, several students of Orcas Island High School and Middle School are planning to participate in the nationwide school walkout at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14.

The students stand firm with the belief that they and staff have the right to teach and learn without the fear of being gunned down in the classroom.

This is a student-led event that students from both schools are not required to participate in. All students will be respected regardless of their decision. Students are inviting parents and community members to join and support us as we walk out of school.
