Under consideration will be what books to read, best times to meet, and how the book club will be organized. Books and snacks for the book club meetings will be provided with funding from the Friends of the Library. After a brief break, family storytimes at the Orcas Public Library have resumed. Thursday storytimes are held from 10:00 am to 10:30 am, and Saturday storytimes are from 11:30 am to noon. All storytimes take place in the Children’s room at Orcas Public Library. Storytimes are designed for children ages 3 to 6 years of age, but all children are welcome to attend. Registration is not necessary. Bring your kids in and enjoy both traditional and new stories to delight the imagination. Kids and parents are invited to stop at the Orcas Public Library for a chance to show off their Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat for a book at Orcas Public Library on Friday, October 31st between 4:00 pm and 6:30 pm. Come in and pick out a book and have your picture taken. The Orcas Public Library is located at 500 Rose Street. The main part of the Library will observe the usual Friday closing time of 5:00 p.m. with Trick-or-Treat for Books continuing until 6:30 p.m. in the Library meeting room.
