Rosario Village is pleased to announce that we will be reopening the fully renovated historic Moran Mansion before the 2025 summer season, and that we will start construction on new waterfront hotel guest rooms and luxury homes later in the year.
To help Rosario Village bring this next chapter of the historic resort’s storied life to reality, we are excited to announce a new partnership with Hartland Hotel Group. Co-founded by hospitality visionaries Mark and Jack vanHartesvelt, Hartland Hotel Group has renovated, relaunched and managed some of the world’s top historic hotels and resorts including the Liberty Hotel in Boston and the Hotel Figueroa in Los Angeles — two of the Top 10 Historic Buildings that Became Hotels according to USA Today.
With the significant expertise of the Hartland Hotel Group, this partnership marks the beginning of a thrilling new era for Rosario Village, bringing back an exceptional level of sophistication and splendor to Rosario that we remember from decades past.
“Our partnership with Hartland Hotel Group (www.hartlandhotelgroup.com) signifies our commitment to excellence at Rosario Village,” said Rosario owner Chris Robison. “Mark and Jack’s track record of excellence, combined with their commitment to Rosario’s legacy, makes this a uniquely meaningful collaboration. Together, we are excited to redefine luxury and heritage in the San Juan Islands.”
In addition to the partnership with Hartland Hotel Group, Empower Investing also has financial commitments to not only satisfy current obligations but to develop new five-star accommodations and homes in the village core in accordance with the San Juan County Rosario Resort Master Plan that was developed with significant community input.
As part of this development, Rosario Village plans to begin construction on new hotel guest rooms and luxury homes on the waterfront property between the marina and the Mansion late in the coming year.
“For years, visitors to Rosario have wished the accommodations were closer to the glorious Rosario Mansion and the core of the resort,” Robison said. “The future developments will allow guests to walk from their luxury rooms or homes directly in the historic Mansion Restaurant, Spa or down to the Marina.”
The new owners of Rosario want to sincerely thank the community of Orcas Island and our guests for their patience over the past months as we worked to put this exciting plan together.
