Conservationist Serge Dedina, co-founder and executive director of WILDCOAST, has dedicated his life to protecting the coastline of California and Mexico.

Working on both sides of the border, Dedina has been instrumental in preserving more than 1.8 million acres of coastal habitat. His books include Surfing the Border, Saving the Gray Whale, and Wild Sea.

Darvill’s Bookstore will be on hand to sell copies of Serge’s books, and Serge will sign copies after the talk.

The 2015­-16 Marine Science Lecture Series is designed to inspire the general public and to highlight important scientific issues in our region. Lectures are free.
