Special to the Sounder

It just keeps getting better! Mark your calendar. This is Farm to Cafeteria’s primary fundraiser of the year.

On Saturday, July 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., more than 20 of your favorite (and some new) Northwest hard cider and mead producers will be offering tastes from up to 70 varieties of ciders and meads to visitors in our big white tasting tent next to the Farmers Market.

Those over 21 will be admitted for just $10 that includes admission, tastes and a commemorative tasting glass. Also, you will be able to purchase your favorites for take-home. A huge cider garden and wonderful music by the Dustbunnies; and singer/songwriter from Seattle, Isaiah Dominguez will round out a perfect summer Day!

And don’t forget – the Orcas Island Cider and Mead Home Brew Competition will occur around 2 p.m. – One of the most hotly contested events on the island! Orcas Island cider and mead home brewer winners will receive awards never won before – custom hand made Cider Festival Orcas Island Growlers. Bring your brew on!!
