• Deputies responded to an Eastsound residence regarding potential vandalism of some trees. The complainant said he was unsure if the damage to his trees was from vandalism or natural causes.
• A San Juan Island deputy responded to a single vehicle collision on the south end of the island. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.
March 23
• A deputy responded to a residence in Town of Friday Harbor for a welfare check. The deputy entered the residence and discovered that the occupant was on the ground and had been down for an unknown amount of time. The deputy contacted medical personnel and the patient was transported for further medical attention.
• A deputy responded to a non-injury vehicle collision within the Town of Friday Harbor.
• An Orcas Island resident reported two unidentified men trespassing on his property. The subjects left and a report was taken.
March 24
• Deputies responded to a residence in Friday Harbor to settle a dispute between roommates just after midnight.
• A victim reported receiving a check from the IRS for a filed tax return. She was advised by IRS that it appeared her personal information might have been stolen.
• A deputy responded to a San Juan Island residence regarding a dog-at-large. The dog and a warning letter were returned to its owner.
March 25
• A deputy was dispatched to a traffic accident in Friday Harbor. A passenger fell from a moving vehicle and was transported for treatment.
• A deputy responded the Peace Island Emergency Room regarding a dog bite. A small child was being treated for a bite from the family dog. The family agreed to quarantine the dog at home for the required 10 days.
• A Lopez Island deputy issued a driver a ticket during a traffic stop on Lopez Road for using a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle.
• Lopez Island deputies responded to a report of illegal hunting on private property. The deputies were unable to locate the suspect.
March 26
Friday Harbor deputies were dispatched to a physical domestic dispute. Both parties were interviewed and a female was taken into custody for assault and booked into jail, pending a court hearing.
A Lopez Island deputy was called to assist the fire department with traffic control at a structure fire. The road was closed and traffic was rerouted around the fire.
A Lopez Island deputy was called regarding an abandoned campsite at Odlin Park. Personal property was left in the campsite when the camper left under suspicious circumstances. The camper was located and returned to the park to get their belongings.
Lopez deputies responded to a call of a female subject behaving erratically at the ferry terminal. The woman was found at the Lopez Village Market and was asked to leave.
Friday Harbor deputies were dispatched to investigate a reported trespassing. The subject had already left and could not be located. The homeowner asked that the subject is formally removed if deputies found her. Deputies continued to search for the subject without success.
March 27
• A Lopez Island deputy was called to check on the well-being of a subject acting alarmingly at two Lopez Island businesses. The subject was located and was safe.
• A deputy was dispatched to a report of a vehicle prowler in Friday Harbor.
• A deputy responded to a small school bus, with children and chaperones in it, that had driven into a ditch. There were no injuries and only minor damage to the vehicle.
• A Lopez Island deputy was sent to check on a vehicle that had backed into the ditch and was stuck, blocking half the road. The deputy pulled the vehicle out and the driver was sent on their way.
• A Lopez Island deputy was called to a local business regarding an unwanted subject who was accosting customers and being a nuisance. The deputy asked the subject to leave. No further action was necessary.
March 28
• A subject was arrested and booked in Friday Harbor Jail after violating a domestic violence-related court order.
• A Lopez Island man was arrested for domestic violence assault when deputies responded to a report of a physical altercation in a Lopez residence. The suspect left the residence before deputies arrived and was located at a home nearby. The man was transported to jail in Friday Harbor pending a court appearance.
• A deputy was dispatched to a theft on Stuart Island.
• A deputy responded to a single vehicle traffic collision in Eastsound.
• An Orcas deputy took a report from a concerned citizen on Shaw Island regarding the health of an island resident. An investigation has begun and deputies will follow-up with Adult Protective Services.
• A deputy was dispatch to a verbal dispute between a mother and a 14-year-old daughter.
