Siek pleads not guilty

Kirby G. Siek, 36, of Eastsound, has pleaded not guilty after being charged with assault in the first degree with a deadly weapon; stalking; and harassment. He was arrested after a search by multiple deputies and a drone on Orcas Island on Sept. 1.

Siek is being held in police custody after a $500,000 bail was set during his preliminary appearance on Sept. 3. Public defender Alex Frix withdrew as an attorney for Siek after discovering a conflict of interest. Lawrence Delay now represents him. A trial date of Nov. 13 has been set.
