A surprise ceremony was held at Orcas Island School, June 4, to dedicate the Elementary Music Room to Marilyn Anderson.

It was also a time to unveil a plaque in her honor that now resides on the wall of the music room.

Anderson is one of the founding members of the Music Advocacy Group, which supports Orcas Island School District’s music program.  She also committed to raise $100,000 for the elementary rehabilitation project, saving the taxpayers from that financial burden.
