Orcas Recycling Services will be holding a Take-It-Only event at The Exchange May 10 to 12. This is part of an effort to carry out a thorough spring cleaning of The Exchange site; as such, no items will be accepted.

“Which is to say, please, absolutely, do not bring anything with you to drop off (since we can’t and won’t take it), and please take as much as you can use!” said Executive Director Mark DeTray.

On other fronts, ORS and the county are chugging along with getting everything in place for handing over operation of the Orcas Transfer Station to ORS. This is anticipated to take place early summer.
