Great progress has been made towards meeting the Orcas Island Food Bank Matching Grant. So far, $3755 has been raised, leaving only $1245 to make the match by April 1.

Once $5000 is reached, an anonymous donor will contribute an additional $5000, for a total of $10,000 to be used immediately to meet the growing need for food assistance in the Orcas Community.

Orcas has a great tradition of neighbor caring for neighbor; the success of this matching grant is yet another example of our community’s generosity.
