The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls.
June 18
• A call was made to the sheriff’s dispatch for deputies to respond to Cattle Point and Little Road in Friday Harbor to handle an altercation between two males.
• A Friday Harbor resident reported having his credit card compromised in Anacortes. Multiple charges were placed on the card.
June 19
• A Lopez deputy was dispatched to an unwanted person at a business. The suspect had previously been criminally trespassed from the premises. Suspect was arrested and booked for criminal trespassing.
• An Orcas resident was the victim of attempted fraud twice in the last year. There are no suspects at this time.
June 20
• A Lopez deputy was dispatched for a landlord and tenant dispute. Dispute was found to be civil in nature.
• A Lopez deputy was dispatched for a non-injury, minor damage collision. Damage threshold was not met and information was exchanged between parties.
• A theft occurred at the farmers’ market in Eastsound. All items were recovered by the owner but the reporting person requested a report.
June 21
• A Friday Harbor deputy received a report of a traffic collision in the 1100 block of Beaverton Valley Road. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for DUI.
• A Lopez deputy was dispatched for vandalism at the golf course. Evidence suggests someone rode a small motorcycle, damaging a putting green.
• Deputies responded to Shaw Island for a potential domestic violence incident. It was determined that there was no crime and that involved parties had only had a verbal argument.
• A Lopez Island deputy observed a possibly overloaded boat approaching the dock at Odlin Park. A subsequent contact with the vessel operator led to a safety inspection on the vessel, with several violations.
June 23
Deputies contacted a subject in Eastsound regarding a disturbance. The subject had a warrant out for his arrest. The subject was arrested then released after bail was posted with a promise to appear in court.
• An Orcas deputy had a phone conversation with a resident about a subject who has been sending threatening and harassing text messages.
• A Lopez Island deputy was called about a man unlawfully camping on private property in Lopez Village. The man moved when asked.
