True love in the deli

It wasn’t your average Friday morning for Island Market employee Denise Troutman.

After 30 years of marriage, her husband Kirk surprised Denise with a vow renewal ceremony at 7:30 a.m. in the deli, before the market opened. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as the Troutmans expressed their love and commitment to one another. Rev. Shawn Shelton performed the ceremony. Kirk gave Denise a toe ring as a symbol of their union, as the pair already have wedding rings.
