Turn Point Lighthouse open house

Turn Point Lighthouse Preservation Society (TPLPS) will be hosting their open house out on Stuart Island on Sunday, Aug. 10. TPLPS is pleased to announce that the 10th will also be the official opening of their museum located in the “Mule Barn” at Turn Point. The public is invited to a fun day of travel, hiking, possible whale watching, tours of the keeper’s quarters, and a bake sale with hotdogs and drinks available.

Anyone needing transportation should contact Denise at 360-376-6566 on Orcas. The open house hours are from 12 to 4 p.m. Land transportation will be available for those unable to make the hike.
