The Orcas Island Council of Churches has teamed up to offer a full schedule of spiritual holiday events open to everyone. In addition to regular Sunday services, the following special services and events are scheduled:

Sunday, Dec. 12

“Orcas Kids Christmas Musical,” 9 or 10:30 a.m., Community Church.

Advent Service: Taize Evening Prayer at 5 p.m, Emmanuel Church.

Thursday, Dec. 16

K-8 Christmas Program at 2 or 7 p.m, Orcas Christian School.

Sunday, Dec. 19

Advent Service: “The King of Love My Shepherd Is” 9 a.m. or 10:30 a.m., Community Church.

Advent Service: Lessons and Carols at 5 p.m., Reception to follow, Emmanuel Church.

Friday, Dec. 24

Candlelight Service of Silence and Song at 3:30 p.m., Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.

Christmas Eve Family Service 5 p.m., Emmanuel.

Candlelight Service of Carols and Readings at 6 p.m., Community Church.

Candlelight Service at 7:30 p.m., Emmanuel.

Saturday, Dec. 25

Christmas Day Mass at 11:15 a.m., St. Francis Catholic Church.

Sunday, Dec. 26

“Singing Our Favorite Christmas Carols” 9 a.m. or 10:30 a.m., Community Church.
