“Orcas on the Go” is a book of 100 savings coupons offered by Orcas businesses for a variety of goods and services.

Each coupon is for a one time discount that can be used until June 2011.

Proceeds from the coupon book will go to Orcas Senior Services.

Small enough to keep in your pocket or pocketbook, this $20 investment features 100 coupons for dining, kayak rentals, car repairs, dental work, and local shops.

Five members of the Senior Center Advisory Committee took this project on after hearing of the success of a similar fundraiser for the Mullis Senior Center on San Juan Island.

“All of us have enjoyed crisscrossing the island getting contracts and business cards and listening to suggestions and comments,” say organizers. “Everyone agrees that this is a very timely effort to keep Orcas dollars on Orcas, introduce people to new venues and save, save, save.”
