The August facilitator for Writers Roundtable is Jennifer Brennock. Entitled “Pregnant Pause:

writing that is stewing in stillness between two significant happenings,” the meeting will be held on Saturday, Aug. 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Orcas Library.

A graduate student completing her M.F.A. in Creative Writing at Goddard College, Brennock is the Critical Commentary Editor of the Pitkin Review literary journal. She moved to Orcas Island in January.

Brennock will draw from Jhumpa Lahiri’s “A Temporary Matter” in Interpreter of Maladies, and other sources, and will offer a fun, energizing creative writing exercise.
