Zier earns rowing honors at University of Washington

Jake Zier, a junior and member of the University of Washington men's crew team and bow of the 2016 Varsity boat, was nominated to the Intercollegiate Rowing Association All-Academic Team and the Academic All-PAC-12 First Team. Both require a 3.35 GPA or higher.

He was also one of three Husky men voted to the all conference First-Team All-PAC-12.

Zier won a IRA national titles in the freshman eight and as a sophomore in the second varsity eight plus a gold medal in a coxed four at the Royal Henley Regatta in England in 2015.

In 2016 at the Windermere Cup in Seattle, he was bow of the varsity boat that beat the Russian National Team.
