Carol Parks died peacefully on June 10, 2015, at her home in Eastsound, Wash. after a long battle with cancer.

She leaves behind a grieving family which includes daughter Leah Bailey, sons Jesse and Ethan Parks, many grandchildren and her partner of 30 years, Dennis Kaufman.

As a vocational rehabilitation counselor, Carol helped mend lives. As a children’s store owner, she brought delight to all ages. Her final and greatest passion was her devotion to animal rescue and dogs that otherwise would not be alive today were it not for her perseverance and charity of heart.

Her family and all those who loved her mourn her passing. We love you and will miss you forever.

In lieu of flowers, Carol would want donations made in her name to any animal rescue organization of your choice “for her tireless efforts on behalf of those with no voice.”
