John M. “Jack” Graves, a respected philanthropist and founder of the Calumet Oil Company, died July 30, 2005 in Houston, Tex., where he was undergoing treatment for an illness. He was 79.
Mr. Graves was a resident of Tulsa, Okla., but he and his wife Elizabeth Ann also owned a home on Orcas Island and lived here part-time.
A memorial service for Mr. Graves took place Aug. 5 in Tulsa.
