Pauline I. Beemer, age 96, of Eastsound, WA and Colon, Michigan passed away peacefully at her home, January 1, 2018. Pauline was born November 29, 1921 in Antwerp, Ohio, the daughter of Harry and Sue (McGlaughlin) Clevenger. She graduated from high school and married Thomas E Beemer on July 24, 1939 in Harland, Indiana.
Tom and Pauline moved their family of five children, Rex, Tex, Charles, Dolly and Robert from Indiana to Michigan in 1955 where they worked together on the family farm on Jonesville Rd. In 1961, another sibling,
Rita, joined the family. Pauline worked on the farm as well as for Dog n Suds, Darlings Manufacturing, Farm and Fleet, Southwind and Kmart over the years. She retired in 1975 so a trip to Alaska, a life time dream of her husband, could be made.
Pauline’s passions were cooking, sewing, quilting, and in her later years creating crafts and many, many hand quilted baby blankets. Her greatest legacy is her family of six children, 21 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and five great greatgrandchildren. Family, friends and neighbors will always remember her great meals, homemade pies and Christmas candies delivered throughout her neighborhood.
Pauline was preceded in death by husband, Thomas Beemer, son, Charles Beemer, and daughter Dolly (Beemer) Meyer. She is survived by sons; Rex and Tex Beemer, both of Eastsound, WA, Robert Beemer of Quincy, Ml, and daughter Rita (Beemer) Harvey of Eastsound, WA.
