Submitted by the Orcas Island Community Foundation.
The 2022 Holiday GiveOrcas Campaign was fully funded this year because of you and so many of your neighbors.
All in all, 603 people contributed a total of $234,040.72 providing 24 grants to programs serving the community. That is over $100,000 more raised than last year.
Among other things, these donations will allow the Orcas Dance Collective to provide dance shoes, attire, and costumes for families in need. The Orcas Community Resource Center will be able to continue its bilingual services and outreach. Kwiáht can continue their community stewardship and protection of Indian Island, and the Orcas Island Health Care District will be able to purchase medical equipment to provide primary care to infants and children. This will save families valuable time and money by not having to go off island for pediatric appointments.

Thank you, to all who contributed. Your generosity makes Orcas Island stronger and more resilient.
