The Viking volleyball squad finished off the young Lions in three games: 25-15, 25-10 and 25-13.
The first game started slow, with Orcas pulling ahead in the second half. The Vikings moved into a smoother dig-set-spike rhythm in the second game, sending more strong hits over the net. Cedar Park struggled to maintain control and return the volleys.
In the third game the Lions’ energy surged as they edged ahead 11-12, looking like a possible comeback. But with the score tied at 12-12, senior Ashley Janssen hammered over 13 consecutive serves, and the Vikings finished off the game at 25-13.
