Jessie Nichols, a 2018 graduate of Orcas Island High School, was named as a standout player in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference fastpitch softball season. She earned all-division status as voted on by the divisional head coaches. Nichols produced a solid freshman season for Northland Community and Technical College in 2019, hitting at a .391 clip, knocking six home runs and driving in 36 RBIs. Nichols also stole five bases and registered a .600 slugging percentage.
