Orcas golf: Boys’ team district champs for third year in a row

The Viking boys defended their district title for the second year in a row, clinching a third consecutive district championship. Taylor Diepenbrock took first place at the competition, leading the team with a 73.

“Taylor is the first champion for the school in golf ‘ever’,” said coach Bobby Olmsted.

Alan Coe took third place with a 88, Henri Bredouw took 14th with a 95, Miles McCloskey took 18th with a 96 and Spencer Sare hit a 97. Diepenbrock, Coe, Bredouw, McCloskey and Sare will all be continuing on to State championships.

For the girls’ team, Claire O’Neill finished with a 127.
