Terry Turner returns as head coach of a very successful boys’ soccer program at Orcas High School.
Turner is supported by two new Orcas alumni assistant coaches, Chase Drake and Willie Clancy, who are both focused on team play and making the playoffs.
Turner has five freshmen joining his 19-member team and once again, he is very pleased with the middle school program relationship.
“We work with the middle school to identify our needs, and their coaches watch our practices to prepare their young players for high school soccer,” said Turner.
He is quite excited about the 2017 season.
“We are starting the year with a very high fitness and skill level – one of the best ever that I have seen on Orcas,” said Turner. “We graduated some great seniors that really contributed in our playoff run last year, but we have seasoned returning players who are offering the freshman real leadership and goal setting. The new players coming up have been working hard all summer training, and it shows.”
